Dr. Debra Bell

Dr. Debra Bell received her Doctor of Chiropractic at Life University in March of 1999, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Bell is also co-owner of TRIumph Gymnastics, also located in Cary, NC.
Dr. Bell is currently the Vice President of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association, and is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She has attended post-graduate seminars, including Cranial Release, Sports Injury Symposium, Advanced Imaging Techniques, and extensive Pediatric Chiropractic seminars.
Her primary focus is family health and wellness, caring for patients of all ages. Dr. Bell also has an extensive background in Sports Injuries and Exercise Physiology. She is available for speaking engagements for corporations, athletic teams, schools, and civic groups.
Dr. Mark Silvester

Dr. Silvester graduated from Life University in 1999. Prior to studying at Chiropractic College, he attended Virginia Tech and Excelsior College. His interest in Chiropractic comes from experiencing the life changing benefits of chiropractic care on several occasions as a young adult.
He holds an Advanced Proficiency Rating in Activator Methods and is an Associate Clinical Instructor with Activator Methods. He has thorough post graduate education in Cox Flexion/Distraction, upper cervical corrections, extremities, disc injuries, whiplash injuries and rehabilitation.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, is an avid swimmer and also enjoys historic automobiles.
Since he began practicing chiropractic, Dr. Silvester’s professional career has remained focused on the highest quality of life through the superior function of the spine and body.
Dr. Ashley McGuire

Dr. Ashley McGuire is a North Carolina native, growing up in the small town of Morehead City in eastern North Carolina. She moved to Cary in 2016 with her husband, Corey and their daughter Lilly. As former college athletes, they enjoy being active and spending time outdoors as a family.
She has always had a passion for helping people and knew at an early age that she wanted to be a doctor. Once she experienced first-hand the health benefits of chiropractic care while pregnant with her daughter, she knew that becoming a doctor of chiropractic would be her way of serving her community. Her love for family, as well as serving people in need have enabled her to use chiropractic as a means to really impact people’s lives.
Dr. McGuire is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is certified in the Webster technique. She is also certified in pediatric tongue & lip ties through Nourish Professional. She is honored to be the North Carolina Chiropractic Association’s (NCCA) 2018 People’s Choice Award recipient – the only NCCA award voted on by the public.
Dr. McGuire is a proud graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC. Prior to attending chiropractic school; she graduated from Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education.
Laurie Bryan – Massage Therapist
Laurie is a 2010 graduate of Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in Sarasota, Florida. She is a certified in pregnancy & postpartum massage therapy and has also been trained in myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Her main goal is to help adults and children of all ages reach their best possible level of health and well-being.
She is nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and is a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. She continues to broaden her knowledge base through seminars and workshops, wherever they make take her.
Laurie has been a part of the family at Whole Family Chiropractic since 2011.
Shaun Whitaker – Massage Therapist

Shaun Whitaker has been a licensed massage and body work therapist since 2006. He has experience working with athletes ranging from college football and tennis players to CrossFit and MMA competitors, including the UNC football team and University of Virginia men’s tennis team. He also has experience with clients dealing with post-surgery rehabilitation of the neck and spine over the past 10 years. He feels great joy in bringing relief and working with clients through their process of recovery.
Shaun attended Miller-Motte Technical College in Wilmington, NC and moved to the Cary area in 2006. Prior to joining Whole Family Chiropractic, he was with Miller-Motte College in Cary and Greenville, as a therapist, instructor and Program Director. He is nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Maria Calabretta – Chiropractic Assistant
Maria has been our team since 2010. She and her husband, Joe have three kids.
Allison Lamb – Billing Specialist
Allison is originally from Upstate New York, but has been in the Raleigh area for over ten years now. She enjoys spending time with her dog, Monty and her 5 nephews and nieces. She has been with Whole Family Chiropractic since 2013.
Casey (CC) Cowans – Front Desk Associate
CC is a California native that has been living in Cary for 16 years now. She has a huge passion for anything artistic and play guitar in her free time. She and her fiancé, Joseph have a black lab/coonhound puppy named Bella and a cat named Cloud.
